The Breakdown by B.A. Paris #bookreview

breakdownAbout

Bestselling author B A Paris is back with a brand new psychological thriller for 2017.

Cass Anderson didn’t stop, that night, to help the woman in the car down that dark country lane, and now she’s dead.

Ever since, silent calls have been plaguing Cass and she’s sure someone is watching her.

Consumed by guilt, she’s also starting to forget things. Whether she took her pills, what her house alarm code is – and if the knife in the kitchen really had blood on it.

Review

After all the hype and fantastic response for Behind Closed Doors I was really eager to read the new novel by B. A. Paris. A slow burner for me but well worth sticking with! Cass is a sympathetic by slightly irritating character in the beginning of this story, very fragile and susceptible to intimidation and manipulation, but from about a third of the way into the story *BOOM*.

My feelings did a complete 180 and I was right there with her, willing her to overcome her fears and beat these people who are harassing her. Not entirely sure if she’s losing her mind or her sense of self.

A great mystery something that hit very, very close to home. Very enjoyable read, perfect for holiday reading, crime lovers and people dipping their toe into thrillers. I’m sure this will be extremely popular at the library and at the airport.

Looks like B.A. Paris has done it again!
