What if I had said “yes”?
Would it’s impact have been best?
A parallel of you & me
“What if”s spread out to infinity
But I ponder over only one
And if it now could be undone
Why did I say no to you?
I still love you, you know I do
If decisions enrich the webs of our lives
How and when we go about the things we strive
To be and not! How much is Chance and how much is Chance’s wretched cousin, Choice?
The flick of a switch
The flash of change
We could be completely different people
This poem might even have been about eggs on toast
